The Plan

Initially we are flying to Singapore where we will make our way to the national ferry terminal, where we depart for Bintan Island which is just off the coast.

After four days over there enjoying the sun, water activities and kiting (land and/or sea) we shall be heading back to the mainland where we will stay for another four nights to take in what Singapore has to offer - they have a great zoo and good shopping!

We then head of to Sydney where we are planning on staying for at least a couple of weeks but we intend to spend the majority of the winter further north where it is warmer - ie Brisbane, Surfers, Cairns etc.

In the height of winter we are hoping that we will be able to afford to take a trip over to NZ where we intend to do at least a week if not two of skiing. At this point this is just an idea however so no arrangements have been made at this point.

We are planning of traveling South down the East Coast around spring time, at which point we hope to take in all of the coastal cities down to Melbourne and then either fly from there or Sydney to NZ for six weeks, including Christmas.

After Christmas the plan is to come back to Sydney where we shall depending on circumstances either stay for new years or perhaps spend it in Perth where we intend to travel some more, taking in the West Coast this time.

Once our time is complete in Australia, we then have planned a three or four week stint in Thailand, which should be a nice change before returning to the UK in one year.

Obviously all of this is conjecture at this point however as it is all dependant on finances and circumstances as they arise. Keep tuned in to gauge our progress, (updated flights - 12/10/06, so these are our final plans).

If anyone has any great places where they have spent some time, (and also went Scuba Diving and really liked it) we would love to know and look forward to receiving an email from you at some point.
